“The fellowship came at the perfect moment in history. As the nation reels from attacks on the
progress made in identifying and remediating barriers to educational equity, and practitioners struggle
to navigate the incessant attacks on beliefs, careers, and community, this experience wrapped us in a
group hug of support. The in-depth learning of North Carolina education history and how it has shaped
the past and present state of equity gives us tools for our continued advocacy and work.”
